Dr. Muktesh Chander, IPS (Retd.) – VU2HJZ, has initiated a collective effort to gather suggestions, concerns and grievances from Amateur Radio operators across India regarding recent regulatory reforms and the functioning of the CoP Wing and WPC Wing.
Dr. Muktesh Chander recently met Mr. Amit Agrawal, Secretary, Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications, and briefed him on the various challenges and concerns being faced by the Amateur Radio community.
Mr. Amit Agrawal took note of these concerns and subsequently called upon Mr. N. K. Bhola, Wireless Adviser, WPC, and other CoP Wing officers to discuss the issues and explore possible measures to address them.
Amateur Radio operators across the country are requested to collectively identify and share:
Concerns arising from recent regulatory reforms and changes.
Long-standing grievances faced by the Amateur Radio community.
Practical difficulties experienced by Hams.
Suggestions for improving existing procedures and regulations.
Constructive and well-reasoned proposals for regulatory reforms.
The responses will be reviewed and consolidated by a team of senior and experienced Amateur Radio operators and presented collectively to the Wireless Adviser, WPC, for consideration and appropriate action.
Mr. Amit Agrawal has also assured that he will personally monitor the progress of this initiative.
